Title : ABOUT METTA HOME

Metta Home is a home for the intellectually disabled and is one of the welfare services of Metta Welfare Association. It has started operation since October 2000. Metta Home is not affiliated to the Community Chest. MH can accommodate 103 intellectually disabled and host a Day Activities Centre for another 50 intellectually disabled clients. This 4-storey building houses contemporary amenities, for example physiotherapy and medical treatment rooms. The curriculum is tailored to develop social and domestic skills to equip clients with the abilities and confidence to lead a normal life. This will help them integrate back into our society and lighten the burden of their families or caregivers. MH is a surrogate home where clients will learn and grow just like in their own home.
